Loving Our Neighbor
CROSSPOINT CHURCH, associated with Converge MidAmerica – MidWest Baptist Conference – provides hands-on help to the community in various ways. We practice loving our neighbor.
Annual School Backpack Project
For the second year in a row we provided over 80 school backpacks filled with school supplies along with a money contribution to one of our sister BGC churches – New Life Baptist Church in Chicago Heights, IL. Thanks to the contributions of many and to our youth group in packing all these backpacks, we have been able to help some children in need.
Helping Hands Food Pantry in Spring Grove, IL
CROSSPOPINT CHURCH, in joint cooperation with Joyful Harvest Lutheran Church and All Saints Lutheran Church, provides volunteers, money, and foodstuff to a community food pantry serving the needs of people of the northwest border of McHenry and Lake Counties.
Senior Fellowship at a Seniors Residence in Fox Lake
CROSSPOINT CHURCH, provides the leadership, volunteers and resources once a month, 2nd Wednesday of the month, to host a fellowship of seniors. We provide speakers, crafts, projects, dessert, and two luncheons – Christmas and Spring.
PADS [Public Action to Deliver Shelter] Crisis Services, Inc. – Lake County
CROSSPOINT CHURCH, provides regular contributions/donations of clothing items, healthcare products, paper products, and other items for this outreach ministry that provides emergency overnight shelter to people in need.
